Quite an interesting family mystery lies within the story. Nicholas is a character that I couldn't quite get attached to. He is very unappealing with despicable traits yet managed to get a reaction from me however unfavorable it is. The author seems to have taken a bolder approach in her writing with this one, appearing to come from a much more honest and raw source. At times thoroughly engaging and at others stagnant but over all interesting and would make a good choice for summer reading lists.
