Jaime Williams begins very early in the book to show her personality, which endears the reader to her. While the story develops and we discover more about her, the endearment is re-enforced. Ashton is equally likeable. Dialogue between characters was fun and entertaining. The other characters start to take a bit of the limelight and the story for me began to lose it's focus. This also steered the story into a slightly different direction. The friendship dynamics is a real plus and although some events that take place added some interest it was not quite enough to garnish a higher star rating for me. There are many aspects that I did enjoy so I do look forward to reading another story from this author. 2.5 stars
