Having a keen interest in George Sand, her writing and her life I must say that a look into her romances had me hooked however the book begins with much more of a look at her childhood and the historical times than it did her romances. It is informative though with a look at the French revolution and politics of the era. It weaved in and out of a non-fiction to a historical fiction style that can be either liked or dis-liked by the reader. Towards the end it really began to pick up for me, and focus on George and her relationships which was the initial appeal.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
